My History
This Campaign has started with one woman who stood up for herself after she went through life-changing experience in January 2023. Samia Khan, is the founder of #BoycottHamzaYusuf campaign and writer of the Open Letters, "An Open Letter: Why Timothy Winter Must Take Oaths" And "An Open letter to my Rapist: The Well Respected Sheikh Hamza Yusuf Hanson". In her spare time she loves to cycle, swim, practice walking meditation and Tai Chi. She is on leave from work to focus on her literary projects and plans to publish her first novel in November 2025. Q3. Which is your most favourite biography that you have read?
After the biography of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of God be upon him), my most favourite biography of all time is 'A Sufi Saint of 20th Century: Sheikh Al Alwai Al Mostaganemi' written by Shakespeare scholar Dr Martin Lings
Q4. What would you like to take with you if you were allowed to take one thing when going to a deserted Island?

Q5. Who is your favourite author?
It is a difficult question to answer. I am an all time Dostoevsky fan. Although I studied Victorian Literature for my final year Undergraduate degree at Birkbeck, University of London to try out something different from Classical Literature, I enjoy reading works of Tolstoy, Chekov, Alexander Solzhenitsyn and other Russian authors and works of American author Mark Twain and Edgware Allen Poe. As for German authors, when I look into Hegel's eyes, I feel as though he is calling me to a higher self and reading a few pages of Arthur Schopenhauer's work standing at King's library at Cambridge last year made me realise his timelessness. French philosopher, Jean Paul Sartre, is a man of truth who calls his readers to truth he, himself, has experienced and invites them to experience it for themselves.
Q6. Since when did you know that you wanted to be a writer?
Since the day I was capable of putting two sentences together to make them sound like a poem. I was about 4. Standing in front of 'Faber & Faber' publishing house at Russel Square, the Noble prize laureate, T.S Elliot's publisher, I left my desire to be a writer for good because I was not sure if this is what God wanted me to do as at times, 'the force of my nafs', 'desire of lower self or ephemeral self' felt more acute within myself than God's Will. It was like saying 'Goodbye' forever and I never regretted my decision or looked back. So, I pursued a career in Civil Service and overtime, I realised 'Academia' was something that was facilitated to me without actively seeking it with my own agency. With my campaign in 2023, 'the desire to become a writer', was given back to me by God Himself. Although I started writing my first novel in February 2024, I know in my heart that I want to be an essayist.
Q7. Where would you like to be buried?
When I visited Shakespeare's house in Stratford Upon Avon with my mother in 2017, I learnt that no one knows where Shakespeare is buried. Similarly, I don't want anybody to find out where I am after I am gone, and I know, 'A man shall be with whom he loves'
Truth Subsists
Two of the most striking lines of song 'Something inside so strong' , written by British singer-songwriter Labi Siffre, are 'You hide behind Walls of Jericho / Your lies will come tumbling....', where he expressed his fullest conviction that no matter how strong an oppressor feels himself to be, sooner or later, he will be exposed. Samia was raped by 17 white Caucasian men while studying her post-grad research degree at the University of Cambridge since the day she arrived with a full scholarship from Quantedge Foundation on 29th September 2023 until she left her post-grad accommodation on 29th July 2024. campaign objectives
1) Suspend Hamza Yusuf Hanson and Abdal Hakim Murad from all affiliations and teaching positions until they have taken Oaths to absolve themselves of the charges of Rape that have been brought against them.
2) Stop accommodating or attending their lectures live or Online, Imam Al Ghazzali Spiritual Retreats and Rihlas in Spain and in Turkey where they had been committing fornication for years in the name of Islam with married and unmarried women. Abdal Hakim Murad, known as Timothy Winter to his bedfellows from University of Cambridge, where he serves as an attendant for women's toilet for under-grad and post-grad accommodations and in his spare time he does fundraising for Cambridge Muslim College by doing photoshoots in western attire in front of the College with his female students, some of whom desire to be his concubine and Hamza Yusuf still serves as the president of Zaytuna college. This campaign is asking the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Muslim College and Zaytuna College to act responsibly, and suspend Abdal Hakim Murad and Hamza Yusuf from their respective positions immediately until they have taken Oaths, and must not allow them to teach live or online classes as they is doing at present for example, The First command book club. Muslim Community should take this matter seriously and stop their support for Cambridge Muslim College and Zaytuna College until both institutions have addressed the matter with due diligence.
3) Stop buying their works, Stop subscribing their channels, Stop selling their works e.g., their books, their lectures etc.
