Our History
This Campaign has started with one woman who stood up for herself after she went through life-changing experience in January 2023. Samia Khan, is the founder of #BoycottHamzaYusuf campaign and writer of the Open Letters, "An Open Letter: Why Timothy Winter Must Take Oaths" And "An Open letter to my Rapist: The Well Respected Sheikh Hamza Yusuf Hanson". Truth Subsists
Two of the most striking lines of song 'Something inside so strong' , written by British singer-songwriter Labi Siffre, were 'You hide behind Walls of Jericho / Your lies will come tumbling....', where he expressed his fullest conviction that no matter how well guarded the perpetrator feels he is, sooner or later, he will be exposed.
campaign objectives
1) Suspend Hamza Yusuf Hanson from all affiliations and teaching positions until he has taken Oaths to clear himself of the charge of Rape that has been brought against him.
2) Stop accommodating or attending his lectures live or Online. Mr Hanson currently serves as the president of Zaytuna college.This campaign is asking Zaytuna College to act responsibly, and suspend Hamza from his president’s position immediately until he has taken Oaths, and must not allow him to teach live or online classes as he is doing at present, for example, the First command book club. Muslim Community should take this matter seriously and stop their support for Zaytuna College until Zaytuna has addressed the matter with due diligence.
3) Stop facilitating his works, which is, stop subscribing his channels, buying or selling his works e.g., his books, his lectures etc.
